About this material
This is the construction behind our 2-layer SFI 3.2A/5 auto racing suits. A 150 g/m² Nomex® outer shell and a 180 g/m² Nomex® inner layer give a total suit weight of 330 g/m² and a Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) rating of 21.6.
Nomex® is a meta-aramid fibre with inherent flame resistance, so the protection is part of the fibre itself rather than a treatment. Suits in this construction can be made in any colour from our Nomex colour chart, including fluorescent shades, with full embroidery for sponsors and team branding.
